Representation & Advocacy
FGA Board Members, Staff, and Skilled Branch Members invest thousands of hours liaising with Governments, Media and Key Decision-Making Agencies.
FGA has high political credibility.
FGA Representatives are seen as effective advocates and responsible negotiators, not single-issue ‘table thumpers’.
FGA enjoys positions on a range of advisory and decision making bodies. The Association also has active input to a wide range of other organisations.

Representation and Responsibility
Along with professional representation comes individual responsibility. Field and Game Australia invests considerable resources in representing all members to government non-government organisations and in a range of forums. The Association stresses to all Members the need to support that work by enjoying their sport and their hunting activities in a manner that makes representation easier.
Respectful Messages
Many people have views quite different to those of our members. Many groups and individuals are active promoters of views that oppose those of our members.
Field and Game Australia urges all members to maintain a respectful and well reasoned approach to any conversation, promotion or debate we enter into. We will campaign strongly but we will not be insulting, derogatory, defamatory or threatening to any other person or organisation.
Code of Conduct & Respect for the Environment
FGA has a well thought out and highly credible hunting code of conduct. This is not a list of do’s and don’ts that answer all questions. It is a code every member should observe.
Members are asked to think deeply about each element of the code.
FGA Members are expected to have and to demonstrate high levels of respect and love for animals and birds, wildlife habitats and the environment.
FGA is firstly an association of environmentally aware shooters and hunters concerned about the health of our environment.
