Field and Game branch events are a great way to get involved and learn from the experts. New members are always welcome so come along to an event in your area and have a chat.

 Come and Try Days

Throughout the year many FGA Branches conduct “come and try” days. Every year people of all ages, most of whom have never held a firearm of any sort, take the opportunity to break a few targets on our simulated field ranges.

The comments our visitors leave in the visitor’s book are very pleasing. A good percentage are so surprised at how much they enjoy the experience we see them back again as members very soon after the come and try day.

The next Come and Try Day is:

Sunday 3 January 2010
Location: Ballarat Field & Game
Bells Road, Haddon
Time: 11.00am

Chris & Stephen made me feel relaxed & were very patient with every single person who tried out. They were very encouraging. My son also had a go and was excited with his achievements.

I thought that a pre-shooting talk on Gun Safety before we actually picked up the gun would be helpful as my son had never handled a gun prior to the day. Pointers were given as we were shooting.

I loved the shooting. I'm better at it than my farther. I would love to go shooting again. There was nothing you could've done to make it better because it already was better.

Excellent day/night. Will continue to get the word out with our sporting database (Sportslink) for any future events/Come & Try days.

Some prior advertising would ensure a large turnout. Overall a great day was enjoyed by me & my partner. Staff were helpful & informative.
