Field and Game Australia Incorporated Web Site Security and Privacy Statement
Field and Game Australia Inc. (F&GA Inc.) is an Australia wide organisation of members who share an enthusiasm for Conservation, Hunting and Shotgun Target Shooting. Modern information and communication technologies, particularly this web site, play a fundamental role in the activities of F&GA Inc. This Security and Privacy Statement applies to this Web Site and how your information is collected, stored and used on it. F&GA Inc. also collects and stores information from members outside of its’ Web Site and all of these are covered by the provisions of the F&GA Privacy Policy which sets out how F&GA protects your privacy and confidentiality.
Confidentiality/ Security Of Information The www.fga.net.au website takes reasonable steps to preserve the security of your personal information and uses InoculateIT 7.0 security to protect:
- Your IP and personal name
- Your email address
Equally, we hold non-Web based records of your personal information in electronic and paper systems secured by passwords and lockable files.
Information Collected Personal information is collected by F&GA in three ways:
- From individual members via their application for membership and then as a function of their being a member and participating in F&GA activities as well as advising F&GA of changes to their personal information.
- From the Branch structure which makes up F&GA, advising of membership information.
- From members and non-members accessing the Website.
Non-Members: - may only access the non-secured areas of the Website. If you visit an unsecured area of the F&GA Website (that is where you are not required to log-on with your membership number and password) we will record the date and time of your visit to our site, the pages viewed and the information downloaded. However, our system will not record any personally identifiable information.
The F&GA Web Site contains links to other Web Sites, which may be of interest to our members. Third party Web Sites should contain their own Privacy Statements and those third parties are responsible for their own privacy governance.
Use and Disclosure of Member Information We will use your personal information to service you as a member, assist our member Branches in their service of members and to run F&GA activities (for example, the use of member’s competition results in calculating handicap points.)
We will not sell or distribute member’s personal information to parties outside of F&GA with the exception of Government departments seeking certain information under the provisions of State or Federal legislation.
General analysis derived from our membership database with all individual information removed may be disclosed to third parties.
Access to Personal Information A member has a right to access their personal information held by F&GA subject to them satisfying us of their identity. If you require a copy of the records we will provide one at a charge of A$15 per request.
We allow you to challenge the data we hold about you and, where appropriate, you may have the data:
- Rectified or amended.
- Completed.
Complaints Process If a member has a complaint concerning the F&GA Privacy Policy or the manner in which their personal information is handled then they should firstly make verbal contact with the F&GA office (03 5799 0960) and attempt to have the problem resolved. If this is not successful, then a complaint should be made in writing, which will be acknowledged within 14 days. The complaint will then be investigated by the executive Board of F&GA and their decision communicated to the complainant. |
