Conservation Since 1958, Field and Game Australia have played a leading role in wetland conservation. Members are involved in practical ‘hands on’ conservation work that protects wetlands and ensures the survival of our native waterfowl.
Hunting As a member you are able to participate in our annual organised duck hunt. Plus the opportunity to take part in vermin control activities held throughout the country. Meet new hunting companions and visit new hunting areas.
Clay Target Shooting Over forty four Simulated Field Shooting grounds exist across the country. Members enjoy social and competitive clay target shooting in a safe controlled environment.
Shooters Licence Members of Field and Game Australia and its affiliate branches satisfies the conditions of approved organisation/club status for all States and Territories.
Public Liability Insurance Members are covered by $10 million dollar public liability insurance.
Member Communications Included with FGA membership is four free issues of the colourful shotgunners magazine “Feathers & Fur”. Regular national newsletters and email eNewsletters keep members up to date with matters pertaining to hunting and other firearms issues.
Free Firearm Indemnity With every membership, Field and Game Australia offer a $600 indemnity on loss, damage, theft or destruction on nominated firearms. Additional nominated firearms can be covered by this indemnity scheme for only an additional $10.00 each.
Game Management Field and Game Australia has representation on Game Management Advisory Committees in Victoria, NSW and Tasmania. Through these processes, ongoing survival of species and increased opportunities for hunters will be achieved.
Gundog Training Regular classes conducted by expert dog handlers to assist members to train their dogs to a competition standard or simply to have a more disciplined hunting companion.
Political Representation Field and Game Australia are recognised by Government as the voice of small game hunters and responsible firearm owners. Regular submissions to Federal and State Governments and membership of a variety of Non Government Organisation committees mean our voice is heard by all political parties. Through these processes, ongoing survival of species and increased opportunities for hunters will be achieved.
